The short version
The extension has no server, no accounts and no analytics service. Nothing about the pages you visit leaves your browser. There is no data for us to sell, lose, or be compelled to hand over.
This website is not the extension, and it is not as clean. See what this website loads below.
What the extension can access
Omryus requests access only to the specific store domains we currently have a discount code
for. These are listed on the extension's Chrome Web Store page and are visible in its
manifest.json. On those stores — and only on basket and checkout pages — the
extension checks whether a discount box exists, so it can put a code in it when you ask.
On every other website, the extension is not loaded at all. Not idle in the background, not watching: absent.
What it never accesses
- Payment card, bank or billing details.
- Passwords. The extension explicitly refuses to write into password or payment fields, even if a stored selector happens to match one.
- Anything you type into a form.
- Your basket contents, order history or browsing history.
What is stored, and where
In your browser's local extension storage, on your device only:
- Your settings.
- Four counters — how many times an offer was shown, applied or dismissed, and whether the extension was installed. These are numbers with no site or page attached, they are never transmitted, and you can switch them off or clear them in Settings.
Uninstalling the extension deletes all of it.
Affiliate disclosure
Where a partner programme allows it, using a discount code Omryus provided supports us — at no extra cost to you. This only ever happens after you click the button. We do not redirect you, rewrite links, or set tracking cookies, and we never replace a referral or affiliate attribution that already belongs to somebody else.
Some partner codes carry no discount at all. We will never present one of those as a saving. We offer them only as donations: if you choose to add one, the whole commission goes to charity — when there isn't a discount, we keep none of it. Commission reaches our account first and is forwarded by us, so this is a promise about our conduct — and we publish what was sent.
When a code does save you money, we keep that commission. That is how Omryus stays free. The donation applies specifically to codes that gave you no discount.
Omryus currently has no partner agreements. The codes in the extension today are clearly-labelled test data.
What this website loads
This page runs the impact.com universal tracking tag. Our affiliate network requires it to verify that we own this site and to attribute referrals. It may set cookies and record that a page was viewed.
We would rather it were not here. It is the price of being able to work with partner programmes at all, and we would rather tell you about it than quietly leave the claim above sounding broader than it is.
It runs on this website only. The extension makes no network requests whatsoever — not to impact.com, not to us, not to anyone. Nothing in this section applies to it. If you only install the extension and never visit this site, nothing here touches you.
Changes
If we ever start collecting data that leaves your device, we will update this page, update the Chrome Web Store listing, and tell you inside the extension before it happens.
