Privacy policy

The short version

The extension has no accounts and no analytics service. It downloads one thing: the current list of discount codes, which is the same file for everyone. Nothing about you or the pages you visit leaves your browser, so there is no data for us to sell, lose, or be compelled to hand over.

Who is responsible for your data

Omryus is run by Omar Deen Ahmed, a sole trader in the United Kingdom. He is the data controller for anything this page describes, and you can reach him at support@omryus.com.

What the extension can access

Out of the box, Omryus has access only to the store domains it was released with. If you allow it on the shops you visit (a one-time choice in its settings), new partner shops start working without an update. Either way, it runs only on shops we currently have a code for. On those stores, and only on basket and checkout pages, the extension checks whether a discount box exists, so it can put a code in it when you ask.

On every other website, the extension is not loaded at all, so it can't sit idle in the background or watch what you do.

What it never accesses

• Payment card, bank or billing details.
• Passwords. The extension explicitly refuses to write into password or payment fields, even if a stored selector happens to match one.
• Anything you type into a form.
• Your basket contents, order history or browsing history.

What is stored, and where

In your browser's local extension storage, on your device only:

• Your settings.
• A copy of the current code list, so it keeps working offline and between updates.
• Four counters: how many times an offer was shown, applied or dismissed, and whether the extension was installed. These are numbers with no site or page attached, they are never transmitted, and you can switch them off or clear them in Settings.

Uninstalling the extension deletes all of it.

Affiliate disclosure

Where a partner programme allows it, using a discount code Omryus provided supports us, at no extra cost to you. This only ever happens after you click the button. We do not redirect you, rewrite links, or set tracking cookies, so we never take over a referral link or affiliate cookie that belongs to somebody else. If the discount box already holds a code, ours replaces it only if you click Apply.

Some partner codes carry no discount at all. We will never present one of those as a saving. We offer them only as donations: if you choose to add one, the whole commission goes to charity. When there isn't a discount, we keep none of it. Commission reaches our account first and is forwarded by us, so this is a promise about our conduct, and we publish what was sent.

When a code does save you money, we keep that commission. That is how Omryus stays free. The donation applies specifically to codes that gave you no discount.

Omryus currently has no partner agreements. The codes in the extension today are clearly-labelled test data.

What this website loads

This page runs the impact.com universal tracking tag. Our affiliate network requires it to verify that we own this site and to attribute referrals. It may set cookies and record that a page was viewed.

We would rather it were not here. It is the price of being able to work with partner programmes at all, and we would rather tell you about it than quietly leave the claim above sounding broader than it is.

It runs on this website only. The extension never contacts impact.com. Its only network request is downloading the code list from api.omryus.com twice a day, and that request carries no cookies and nothing about you. Like any download, the server sees the IP address it comes from; we don't keep logs of it. Nothing in this section applies to the extension. If you only install the extension and never visit this site, nothing here touches you.

The homepage also downloads the same public code list from api.omryus.com to show which shops have a tested code today. That request carries no cookies and nothing about you, and we keep no logs of it.

The launch email list

If you give us your email address on this website, we store it with the date you signed up and which page you used. We use it for one thing: to email you when Omryus is ready to install. We rely on your consent for this, and you can withdraw it at any time.

The list is kept in a database run by Cloudflare, which hosts this website. We don't sell it, share it, or add it to anything else. If we use an email delivery service to send the launch email, that service receives your address only to deliver it. Cloudflare may store the list on servers outside the UK; its data processing terms cover those transfers with the safeguards UK law requires.

Once the launch email has gone out, we delete the list. To be removed sooner, email support@omryus.com from that address and we will delete it. The extension never sees your email address; signing up and installing are separate.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Email support@omryus.com and we will reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we ever start collecting data that leaves your device, we will update this page, update the Chrome Web Store listing, and tell you inside the extension before it happens.
